Alumni Achievement: Congratulations to Miss CHEUNG Hei Long on Receiving the Social Services Award from Wu Yee Sun College, CUHK

The School is delighted to share that our alumna, Miss CHEUNG Hei Long, has been awarded the Social Services Award by Wu Yee Sun College of The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Upon graduating from our school in 2022, Miss Cheung was admitted to the Department of Sociology at CUHK. This prestigious scholarship commends tertiary students with sustained and outstanding contributions to social services, community engagement, and leadership. The selection places significant emphasis on active service engagement and a steadfast commitment to society, fully reflecting the university’s recognition of Miss Cheung’s exemplary altruistic spirit.

Throughout her university journey, Miss Cheung has consistently translated social care into practical action. In the 2025–2026 academic year, she participated in the ‘Orbis Future Vision Leaders’ programme organised by Orbis, emerging as a leading team member to win the ‘Educators 2.0 Grand Winner & Defeating Vision Monsters’ award in the case competition. Tailored to the vision health needs of students and the general public, her team designed an engaging and gamified educational proposal, creatively raising awareness about eye care, early detection, and support for the visually impaired. Furthermore, Miss Cheung has dedicated herself to diverse university and community initiatives. She served as an Ambassador for the CUHK Life and Death Education (LDE) Program, organising workshops and exchange tours to support fellow students in embracing a positive outlook on life, and undertook the role of Executive Secretary in the Sociology Society, exemplifying mature leadership, meticulous organisation, and a genuine passion for service.

Miss Cheung has truly lived out our school motto, 「明道日新」, through her devotion to the vulnerable and dedication to serving the community, setting a fine role model for all BBSS students. The School extends its deepest gratitude to Miss Cheung for her heartfelt contributions to society and offers its warmest congratulations. May she continue to be guided by God, shine brightly in her future academic and vocational pursuits, and bring meaningful impact to the community.
