Activity: English Drama "The Tempest” performed by Doves Tales Theatre Company
Activities: The Tempest is a renowned Shakespeare’s play depicting a magical wizard named Prospero who has been stuck on an island with his daughter and magical creatures for many years. His brother Antonio banished him to the island so he could become the Duke of Milan. When Prospero sees a ship with Antonio on it in the sea, he finally has a chance to get revenge.
On the day of performance, the drama was first introduced by two student MCs. All S1-5 students were entertained by the hilarious performance of actors and actress. Professional actors delivered dramatic lines and were equipped with eye-catching costumes and props. After several funny scenes, three S5 students came up to the stage to participate in the drama show. They played as magical sprites to help Ariel find the wizard Prospero for freedom. Towards the end of the show, our energetic teachers were invited to perform a silly dance with the mythical creature. Through the drama show, students learnt a lesson about love and forgiveness. We know that we should use our power in the right way.
