The anti-drug seminar invited social workers and counselors from the Enlighten Centre of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Hong Kong Social Service to speak to Secondary Two students about the severe harms of drugs. Through interactive mini-games where students attempted to identify different types of drugs, the attendees were able to gain a clearer understanding of various illicit substances. Furthermore, students had the valuable opportunity to listen to a drug rehabilitation counselor, who shared a deeply personal account of their own past struggles with straying onto the wrong path and their challenging journey of withdrawal. Ultimately, this meaningful activity aimed to significantly raise students' awareness and alertness regarding the devastating consequences of drug abuse. It also empowered them by teaching practical skills to firmly resist temptations in their daily lives, while helping them realize the profound importance of establishing a healthy, drug-free lifestyle and building a supportive, safe environment within their community.
