To cultivate teamwork, resilience, and leadership skills among our new student leaders, the school successfully organized the "Leader Training Day Camp" recently. Bringing together the Student Union and House Candidate Cabinets, the day camp infused the upcoming academic year with youthful energy and positive vibes through self-breaking challenges and a meaningful passing-of-the-torch session!
Event Objectives: Uniting Strengths, Inheriting the Mission
The core objectives of this Leader Training Day Camp were to:
• Break Through Personal Limits: Build students' self-confidence and resilience in the face of adversity through high-altitude adventure elements.
• Build a Cohesive Team: Foster communication between incoming and outgoing committee members, strengthening teamwork and trust.
• Inherit School Culture: Conduct the handover sharing to define the responsibilities and missions of the new student leaders.
• Plan an Exciting School Year: Gather collective wisdom to discuss and map out the blueprints for the upcoming year's Student Union and Inter-House activities.
Event Highlight
1. Conquering Fears & Soaring High: Adventure Climbing & Extreme Challenges
Under the guidance of professional coaches, students faced double tests of physical strength and mental fortitude. From the Adventure Climbing wall, which tests coordination and endurance, to the ultimate test of courage—the BUNGEE JUMP, students transformed their initial nervousness into leaps of faith, cheered on by the enthusiastic roars of encouragement from teammates below. This was more than just a high-altitude challenge; it was a priceless moment of conquering fear and breaking through personal boundaries.
2. Passing the Torch: Handover & Election Meeting
Following the physical challenges, students transitioned into the rigorous Election Meeting and the Handover. This handover signifies the continuation of our school’s spirit of service. The outgoing leaders generously shared their insights and valuable experiences from the past year, encouraging their successors and boosting their confidence for their future leadership roles.
3. Gathering Wisdom: Action Plan Meetings for the Student Union and Houses
Reenergized and focused, the new leaders plunged straight into an intense Action Plan Meeting. Centered around the theme of "how to enrich campus life for our peers," students engaged in a vibrant brainstorming session. From creative concepts and program designs to logistics and coordination, everyone shared their views freely. Together, they mapped out an exciting blueprint for the Student Council and Inter-House activities for the coming year. Seeing them discuss so passionately with sparks in their eyes makes us immensely look forward to their upcoming achievements!
