World Day for Cultural Diversity Fun Fair
Foreword
The “World Day for Cultural Diversity Fun Fair” was rerun on Wednesday, 6 May 2026, organised by the English Department. Hosted by the English Club cum English Ambassadors Programme (English Department) and School Language Ambassadors (supported by SCOLAR and EDB), the event engaged both junior and senior form students in English-medium activities. Junior form students explored Pakistan, Mongolia, and Scotland through cultural booths, while senior form students joined the World Trivia Game to test global knowledge and redeem prizes.
Event Details
This time, the event took place in the school hall during recess and lunchtime. Junior form students enjoyed interactive booths such as landmark archery, food vocabulary fishing, traditional costume trials, and henna-style hand painting. At lunchtime, the tasting corner featured Mongolian butter milk tea, Pakistani pani puri, and Scottish shortbread. Senior form students enthusiastically participated in the trivia challenge, practising English while competing for prizes.
Conclusion
The rerun allowed students to practise English joyfully while deepening their appreciation of cultural diversity. Junior forms gained hands-on cultural experiences, while senior forms strengthened global awareness through trivia. The English Department and English Ambassadors Programme look forward to continuing such events to enhance students’ language skills and promote inclusivity.
