S4 Film Poster Competition & Exhibition

S4 Film Poster Competition & Exhibition

Foreword
The S4 Film Poster Competition & Exhibition 2025–2026 was successfully held from Tuesday to Thursday, 19–21 May 2026 at the Covered Playground (Shared Space for Innovation and Creative Arts, G/F). Organised by the English Department, the event showcased the creativity of S4 students. Each class submitted two best works to enter the inter-class competition, resulting in 8 entries in total. At the same time, all other posters produced by students were also displayed, ensuring that every student’s effort was recognised and celebrated.

Event Details
Over three days, students from S1–S5, together with the Principal, Vice-Principals and all teachers, were invited to view the posters and cast their votes. Ballots were distributed to encourage broad participation. The competition was designed not only to highlight artistic talent but also to integrate values education and national security awareness. Students were required to select films connected to one or more of the twelve core values (such as perseverance, respect, responsibility, integrity, empathy, unity, filial piety) or the twenty major fields of national security (including political, cultural, ecological, technological, and cybersecurity). By linking their chosen films to these areas, students demonstrated how creative expression can reflect civic responsibility and moral awareness. The exhibition thus became a platform for both creativity and reflection, encouraging students to think critically about the world while expressing ideas through visual storytelling.

Conclusion
The event celebrated student achievement by highlighting both competition entries and the wider body of creative work. It fostered appreciation for artistic and linguistic expression, promoted inclusivity, and reinforced the importance of values and national security education. The English Department looks forward to continuing such initiatives to enhance students’ creativity, language awareness, and holistic development.
