Citizenship and Social Development:Chinese Mainland Study Tour on Innovative Technology in Zhuhai

The tour featured a diverse range of learning experiences. On the first day, students visited the large-scale enterprise By-Health, where they observed automated production and attended guided briefings. This was followed by an experiential course at Beijing Normal University (Zhuhai). On the second day, the group explored modern agricultural techniques at the Zhuhai Guangliang Agricultural Park and visited the Zhuhai Airshow Center to participate in model-making and learn about the nation’s aerospace advancements.

Closely aligned with the Citizenship and Social Development curriculum, this activity aimed to help students recognize national achievements since the Reform and Opening-up, thereby enhancing their national identity and sense of pride. Through field observations and reflections, students were encouraged to analyze the interactive relationship between Hong Kong and the Mainland, consider future development opportunities, and prepare themselves to contribute to the nation and Hong Kong as responsible citizens.

Field Visits: Gained practical insights by visiting leading enterprises and academic institutions.

Hands-on Experience: Enhanced interest in innovation through manual workshops and model-making activities.

Values Education: Strengthened national identity and fostered a broad global perspective.
