We are thrilled to share an outstanding piece of news! Our S6 student, Ma Ying-yuen (6D), has successfully secured early admission to The Hong Kong Polytechnic University through the Education Bureau's "School Nominations Direct Admission Scheme (SNDAS)". Recognized for his exceptional and multifaceted achievements in academics, innovation, technology, mathematics, and leadership, Ying-yuen has been admitted to a highly forward-thinking programme of his great interest: BSc (Hons) Scheme in Spatial Data Science and Smart Cities

A Six-Year Transformation: From a Reserved Youth to a Tech Innovator and Leader
Looking back at his six years of secondary school life, Ying-yuen has demonstrated a remarkable trajectory of growth. Transforming from a reserved and steady junior student, he relied on his passion for knowledge, immense self-discipline, and a strong "growth mindset" in the face of adversity to overcome challenges step by step. Having won multiple Academic Improvement Awards and top subject prizes in Computer Literacy, he has blossomed into a proactive, self-motivated, and outstanding young leader who dares to innovate.

Innovation, Technology, and Mathematics: Multiple International and Local Accolades
Ying-yuen has a deep passion for technology research and development as well as smart city planning, and his teamwork and practical skills have been highly recognized. His core achievements in innovation and technology align perfectly with his prospective university major, including:

An Exemplary Student: Outstanding Service and All-Round Development
Beyond his stellar performance in the field of technology, Ying-yuen is a highly empathetic and responsible leader. Serving as our Vice-Head Prefect, Class Monitor, and Club Chairperson, he has been awarded the "Model and Excellent Prefect Award" multiple times. He enthusiastically gives back to his alma mater, actively mentoring his juniors through mathematics support schemes, peer coaching, and community tutorial classes. Furthermore, as a core member of the school's volleyball and cross-country teams, he has consecutively won Gold in the Physical Fitness Award Scheme for many years, truly embodying the "all-round development" of the Bishop Baker spirit!

Setting Sail with Gratitude
We extend our deepest gratitude to our dedicated teachers for their unwavering cultivation and guidance over the past six years. We also thank Ying-yuen for setting a phenomenal example of pursuing excellence for his peers.
