National Security × Disaster Preparedness Game Booths

National Security × Disaster Preparedness Game Booths
To mark National Security Education Day on 15 April 2026, our school held a three day interactive booth activity from 14 to 16 April under the theme ‘National Security × Disaster Preparedness Awareness’. The initiative aimed to integrate the holistic concept of national security into everyday education, using engaging games to strengthen students’ awareness and response skills.
Four themed booths were set up, each focusing on different areas of national security. Students became Crisis Detectives by spotting hidden risks in daily settings; tested their skills at the Emergency Response Challenge Station by choosing correct actions in fire or earthquake scenarios; safeguarded digital safety at Information Defence by distinguishing genuine information and learning password protection; and joined the Community Protection Mission by matching local crises with national security domains, affirming that ‘safeguarding national security is everyone’s responsibility’. Those who completed all challenges were recognised as ‘National Security Junior Guardians’.
The event showcased strong student involvement. Form 4 students, after attending preparatory workshops, helped design and prepare booth materials, while ten Constitution and Basic Law Ambassadors guided participants and ensured smooth operation.
Promotion was carried out through class teacher announcements, classroom posters, and a post flag raising ceremony promotional activity led by the Moral and Civic Education Ambassadors. Enthusiastic participation across the school highlighted key learning outcomes: understanding the close link between national security and daily life, acquiring basic disaster preparedness skills, enhancing digital literacy, and building civic responsibility.
This lively and meaningful activity successfully brought national security education into campus life, strengthening safety awareness among teachers and students while deepening learning through hands on involvement.
