Our school has always valued student voices and is committed to fostering an open and transparent campus culture. The "School Policy Exchange Session" aims to establish a direct and effective communication platform, allowing student representatives to exchange views face-to-face with the school leadership on areas such as campus facilities, academic arrangements, and student welfare. Through this process, we hope to enhance mutual trust between teachers and students, boost students' sense of involvement and belonging, and work together to optimize our learning environment.
Activity Details
High-quality school policies are not built overnight; they are the result of a six-month process involving opinion collection, organization, and dialogue. This year’s exchange followed a rigorous and representative workflow:
⦁ Ideation Phase: On 8 September, a class workshop was held to guide students in reflecting on areas for improvement in school life. Following this, on 25 September, specific suggestions were formally collected and summarized during class meetings.
⦁ Consolidation & Submission: In October, the Student Union (SU) categorized and integrated the opinions from the entire school and submitted them to the school for discussion.
⦁ In-depth Dialogue: Between October and February, Principal Ng and Vice Principal Chung met with student representatives from Secondary 1 to Secondary 6 in batches. During these small-group sessions, the school listened closely to the unique needs of students from different grade levels.
⦁ Feedback & Implementation: From March to April, school representatives conducted feasibility studies on the suggestions collected earlier and prepared detailed responses and action plans.
⦁ The Exchange Session: The formal "School Policy Exchange Session" was held on 10 April
During the school policy exchange session, class representatives gathered with Principal Ng and Vice Principal Chung. The school not only provided constructive feedback on various suggestions but also engaged in spontaneous, in-depth discussions regarding the school's long-term development. This two-way communication model fully embodies our "Student-Centered" educational philosophy, ensuring that every student's voice leaves an impact on school policy.
