During the Field Reporting Day at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), students transformed into campus reporters to explore the university’s rich cultural and academic landscape. The visit centered on the Museum of Art and various Colleges, where students were tasked with collecting "stories" through a combination of photography and short interviews. This hands-on experience required students to apply active listening and note-taking skills as they gathered information from student guides and current undergraduates. By documenting their findings, participants gained unique insights into campus life and heritage. This activity not only sharpened their investigative and interviewing techniques but also challenged them to synthesize information into compelling narratives. For many, the highlight was capturing the "spirit" of CUHK through visual storytelling and direct engagement with the university community, making the visit a practical exercise in both communication and media literacy.
