Cultivating Peace Volunteer service
Social workers from St. James’ Settlement led the students in four workshops. The students learned skills in facilitating activities and designed programs for the elderly at St. Matthias’ Church, enabling the seniors to enjoy a joyful afternoon.

The students worked together wholeheartedly to pack gifts and prepare the venue, warmly welcoming the elderly participants. When some elderly had hearing difficulties, the students patiently engaged in conversations with them.

Through this activity, the students gained confidence in interacting with others, cultivated compassion and patience, learned to empathize with and understand others, and developed greater empathy.
