Warmest Congratulations to Alumni Mr. Chan Han-pan and Mr. Tam Chun-kwok on Their Election to the Legislative Council

Following the successful conclusion of the 2025 Legislative Council General Election, the School is delighted to learn that two of our distinguished alumni, Mr. Chan Han-pan and Mr. Tam Chun-kwok, have been elected as Members of the new Legislative Council. Their success is a testament to their dedication to service and outstanding leadership. The entire school community shares in this honor and extends our heartiest congratulations!

Distinguished Alumni Serving the Community

Mr. Chan Han-pan (Election Committee constituency): As a senior member of the Council, Mr. Chan has been deeply rooted in the community for many years. With a focus on transport and medical policies, he has pragmatically promoted improvements in people's livelihoods, earning the deep trust of various sectors of society.

Mr. Tam Chun-kwok (New Territories North): Mr. Tam has long been dedicated to youth development and social service. He is actively promoting the development of the Northern Metropolis and patriotic education, injecting new energy and dynamics into the Council.

Shining in their respective roles, both alumni have truly embodied the spirit of our School Motto: ‘DAT DEUS INCREMENTUM’ (明道日新). They strive for truth and keep pace with the times, responding to the needs of the era with renewed thinking, thereby setting the best example for their younger brothers and sisters at school.

Civic Education: Passing the Torch

While our alumni serve society in the legislature, their alma mater is equally committed to passing on the torch of civic responsibility on campus. Through recent activities such as the "Speech Under the National Flag" and the broadcasting of promotional videos, the School has actively disseminated information regarding the Legislative Council Election. These initiatives aim to help students understand the functions of the legislature and cultivate positive civic literacy.

We sincerely wish Mr. Chan Han-pan and Mr. Tam Chun-kwok every success in their future endeavors, as they continue to contribute to the prosperity and stability of our Country and Hong Kong.
