Target Audience: S.1 and S.2 Class Chairperson and Recreation Secretary
This activity aims to enhance the game facilitation skills and confidence of S.1 and S.2 class chairperson and recreation secretary in preparation for the Christmas party. The first session focused on the key elements of successfully leading a game, along with the four essential steps of "Select, Explain, Lead, and Close":
- Tip 1: "Select" - Make careful selections to win from the start, ensuring that the games align with the students' needs and interests.
- Tip 2: "Explain" - Provide clear explanations that allow participants to quickly grasp the rules of the game.
- Tip 3: "Lead" - Energize the atmosphere; you are the star! Use interaction and encouragement to boost the event's vibrancy.
- Tip 4: "Close" - Make a perfect ending that leaves a good impression; summarize appropriately at the end to reinforce learning outcomes.
The second session involved hands-on game facilitation, where students worked in groups to lead and participate in four different games. Throughout this process, they applied their learning and fully engaged in the activities. Even when faced with unclear rules, students adapted flexibly, showcasing their acquired skills. Finally, we conducted a brief summary to reflect on what has been learned. We look forward to seeing every student grow through these games!
