The Appointment Ceremony of the Constitution and Basic Law Student Ambassador Training Programme
Deepening the Awareness of the Rule of Law and Nurturing Virtuous and Competent Young Leaders
To strengthen students’ understanding of the Constitution and the Basic Law, promote the spirit of the rule of law, and cultivate responsible citizens with a strong sense of national identity, our school recently held the Appointment Ceremony of the Constitution and Basic Law Student Ambassador Training Programme.
The Constitution and Basic Law Student Ambassador Training Programme aims to enhance students’ comprehension of the Constitution and the Basic Law, to foster their understanding of the constitutional status of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the significance of the “One Country, Two Systems” principle. The programme also seeks to nurture students’ concern for national and social affairs and to develop their leadership potential through diverse learning experiences.
As Student Ambassadors, the appointed students will undertake the important responsibility of promoting education on the Constitution and the Basic Law within the school community. Their duties include organising school-based activities, preparing quiz competitions, and delivering speeches during the “Speech under the National Flag.”
During the ceremony, the Principal presented the appointment certificates to the ambassadors, recognising their commitment and sense of duty. Through this programme, the school aspires to nurture students who learn, understand, observe, and respect the law, thereby contributing to the building of a law-abiding, orderly, and harmonious school culture and society.
