With God’s abundant grace, S.K.H. Bishop Baker Secondary School has been serving the Yuen Long District for more than four decades. In the last academic year, we successfully completed a series of 40th Anniversary celebrations, including the Thanksgiving Service, Variety Show, and the Anniversary Gala Dinner. Together with principals, teachers, and alumni from various periods, we witnessed a significant page in the school's history. Committed to the Anglican mission, we strive to provide a holistic, high-quality education for students, which enables youngsters to affirm the value of life, pursue healthy growth, and joyfully live out a life full of faith, hope, and love.

Thanks to the leadership of my predecessors and the collective efforts of all our teachers and students, we have established a solid academic foundation, a well-disciplined school ethos, and a positive campus culture, allowing generations of young people, under the care and guidance of their teachers, to seek knowledge, discover oneself, build confidence, and set their life goals and career aspirations joyfully. As the new Principal of the school, I will build upon this solid foundation, strive to continue the good work of the school and continue to uphold the Anglican traditions and biblical teachings to lead the school for continuous development. In the future, I will work hand-in-hand with teachers and parents to nurture every single life, guide them to live an abundant and fulfilling life in Christ.

For the new academic year (2025-26), our school will embark on the next three-year development plan with the theme "Strengthen Digital Education•Practise Healthy Habits." We have set out two major concerns: (1) to enhance the effectiveness of teaching and learning with digital education, and (2) to nurture global citizens with healthy lifestyles and positivity. We firmly believe that in this rapidly changing digital age, especially with the accelerating development of artificial intelligence, it is crucial to cultivate students' information literacy and their ability to use technology properly and ethically. Meanwhile, a healthy mind and body is an essential foundation for them to face future challenges. Therefore, we will use a variety of teaching strategies and learning methods to boost students' learning effectiveness while promoting the healthy lifestyles and positive attitudes. We hope to see them become global citizens who are strong in body, mind, and spirit, rooted in our motherland, and oriented towards the world.

May God continue to bless the work of our hands and may BBSS be one to glorify His name and a blessing to all those who come. Amen.
