Activity: Becoming a Detective for Secondary Schools

Aim: To provide students with the opportunity to familiarise themselves with a well-known story and characters, read the story and gain vocabulary, and engage in critical thinking.
Activities:
- Read ‘The Final Problem’ ( a Sherlock Holmes story) (最後一案) by Arthur Conan Doyle ,
- Examine Holmes’ style of detection and compare it with the BBC Sherlock,
- Identify the key story elements and theme as well as learn Holmes’ method of detection and compare it with modern forensic science.
